The Android tablet for children


It is called Gajah tablet (still have not posted the official name) and is devoted entirely to the smallest of the family. This shows that the market for tablets is flooded with content, news, bigger screens, more powerful devices and light because it is a sector that is in significant expansion and manufacturers do not want to miss this opportunity.



The company that has made ​​this tablet for children is called Gajah International and Singapore. While not finished developing it, you know that has a 7-inch panel, Android operating system 4, the interface is simple, it has bright colors, large icons, a core processor at 1 GHz with 512 MB ​​of memory RAM and 32 GB internal storage.

It was presented at the last fair Computex, the largest in the Asian continent in relation to technology. Also showed a digital book reader with touch screen and 6-inch electronic ink, as well as a 9.7-inch tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich.

However, what caught the attention was this Gajah for children, which for now does not have a name beyond the design, i.e., known as MD7008. The prototype presented in Taiwan has funds of screen fun with designs and offers supervision by parents, so they can monitor the content they access their children.

The buttons are large and easy to press and the housing is protected with a rubber shock. The hardware is taking shape but still the software is far from complete.

It is noteworthy that there are not many tablets devoted to children currently in the market, except for two models: Archos Child Pad & OLPC XO 3.0.
