Canon 650D, SLR camera with touchscreen

Canon updates its range of new entry level DSLR camera, the Canon 650D. It is an update to the Canon 600D, which appeared more than a year. With the new camera is improved focus and touch screen. However, the improvements over its predecessor are really small. Many expected more of this model, so maybe the new 650D they know little.

The chamber design is really similar to the 600D. Same size and weight. If you look ahead, only distinguish by the label name. However, 600D to the camera was good in this area. The ergonomics of the whole is pretty good, fits the hand quite naturally. The controls are simple and intuitive, but is still longing for a wheel in the back as integrating other models of the brand.

The most relevant change in this field is the touch screen. The new display incorporates this functionality back to move through the camera menus. It is the function of fashion, and can appear as a gadject is outdated if not part of a touch screen. However, many users find it strange handling a camera with this type of interface.

It has a size of three inches and has a resolution of more than one million pixels. It is also hinged and can move with a certain lightness. This helps to frame pictures when we are in a strange position, for example with the camera on the floor.

But the big news of the Canon 650D is the focus. This time he used a hybrid system. It is a system originally designed for video recording, but it seems that the Japanese have decided to use as photographs. You might try a little experiment to better focus their future cameras.

Just the video recording also achieves quite acceptable values. You can record as Full HD at 30 frames per second, also has the possibility to use an external microphone to add more quality to the recording.

The sensor has not changed from the previous version. This is an 18-megapixel APS sensor. It may seem that there have been improvements, but the truth is that you do not need more megapixels. With this value could print a photo in high quality (300 dots per inch) 44 x 29 cm in size. Value is more than enough unless you're thinking of wallpapering the facade of a building with our photos.

The Canon 650D will go on sale this June, and yet to be known the price. Only the camera body will cost 900 euros, and the pack with the most basic goal (18-55 mm.) will reach a price of 1,000. A third offering, with an ultimate goal (18-135 mm), will have a price of 1,250 euros.

The price is not exorbitant for the services offered by the camera. It is a semi-professional SLR camera, and that meets the requirements of demanding fans. However, it seems not worth much renewal. The news is scarce, and primarily affect the operation of the camera, but not performance.
